Mali Asks Denmark to “immediately” Withdraw Troops
Mali has called on Denmark to immediately withdraw its roughly 100 special forces troops deployed in the country.
Leaders of the West African nation say they were not consulted and Denmark failed to follow protocol.
The State TV on Monday said that “this deployment was undertaken without consent.”
A spokesperson for Mali’s military earlier said that Russian soldiers have deployed in Mali to train Malian forces.
The Russians are based in an area vacated by the former colonial power, France.
