Libya, Tunisia, Algeria discuss bilateral, regional issues
TUNIS, Tunisia (AA) – The foreign ministers of Libya, Tunisia and Algeria held on Friday a joint consultation session in Tunis to discuss ties and regional developments, statements released after the meeting said.
Tunisia’s Othman Jerandi, Libya’s Najla Mangoush and Algeria’s Ramtane Lamamra deliberated on ways to improve relations.
They evaluated ways to combat terrorism and cross-border organized crime targeting the region as well as how to deal with illegal immigration.
The top diplomats also spoke on the importance of political stability in Libya, which has been mired by conflict and violence since the overthrow of strongman Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
