Kentucky Mosques Aid Tornado Victims
Tornadoes that ravaged Kentucky in December killed many Bowling Green community members and destroyed numerous homes and businesses.
After the storms, Imam Muamer Sljivic of the Bosnian Islamic Center of Bowling Green, received many calls from city residents seeking assistance.
The Bosnian Islamic Center and the Islamic Center of Bowling Green joined forces forming a group of volunteers to help all of those in need.
The Bosnian Islamic Center formed a tornado relief board gathering information on survivors who had suffered from the disaster.
Affected residents were asked to fill out an application to receive aid.
