Kazakhstan to host artificial intelligence exhibition
ASTANA, Kazakhstan (MNTV) — Kazakhstan is set to host AlmatyFair.ai, the country’s largest artificial intelligence exhibition, from March 28 to March 30.
The event will bring together leading global and regional tech companies, startups, and AI experts to present cutting-edge innovations in sectors like industry, finance, public administration, healthcare, and education, El.kz reports.
A key highlight of the exhibition will be the unveiling of alem.ai, an international AI center launched under President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s initiative. The center aims to position Kazakhstan as a regional AI hub, with plans to boost AI exports to $5 billion by 2029 and support research, startups, and workforce training.
Kazakhstan’s government has been pushing AI adoption to streamline governance, reduce bureaucracy, and enhance tax transparency, according to Digital Development Minister Zhaslan Madiyev.
The country is also investing in AI education, including the AI Tomorrow School launched in October 2024 at Astana Hub, Central Asia’s largest technology park.
During the exhibition, officials are expected to sign an agreement with TUMO Ventures to establish the region’s first creative technology education center, TUMO Kazakhstan, aimed at training the next generation of AI specialists.
The event will also spotlight Central Asian Innovation Hubs, a partnership between Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan that has helped 39 startups gain exposure at major global tech events like Web Summit 2024 and TechCrunch Disrupt 2024.
The exhibition will feature the AI Startup Showdown, where emerging AI companies will compete for funding and industry recognition. Panel discussions will explore the impact of AI on the global job market, challenges in digital transformation, and opportunities in venture capital investment.
Organized by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, alongside the Almaty city administration, AlmatyFair.ai will take place at the Atakent Business Cooperation Center.
