JVP protests against aid to Israel outside New York Stock Exchange
Advocacy group Jewish Voice for Peace staged demonstrations on Monday challenging U.S. military aid to Israel, resulting in more than 200 arrests.
A large crowd of demonstrators gathered outside the New York Stock Exchange in solidarity with Palestine.
Police intervened and detained several protesters wearing red shirts emblazoned with various pro-Palestine slogans.
Israel has killed over 42,000 Palestinians in its war on Gaza since October last year, including thousands of children.
It has also expanded the war to Lebanon, where it has killed over 2,000 Lebanese since last year.
Its unrelenting military campaign has escalated despite a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire.
Israel has also been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its war on Gaza.
