Justice For All denounces House decision to block funds to rebuild Gaza
In a contentious move, the House of Representatives has voted to halt American funding for the reconstruction of Gaza.
The amendment to the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act, introduced by Republican representatives, passed without a recorded vote.
Pro-Israel Rep. Brian Mast criticized the idea of rebuilding a region devastated by US-backed Israeli strikes.
Justice For All, a leading American Muslim rights group, condemned the decision, emphasizing the moral obligation to rebuild Gaza and prevent further devastation.
With more than $12.5 billion sent to Israel this year, questions arise about US priorities in the region.
Group President Imam Malik Mujahid said that with half of Gaza’s buildings destroyed most likely by American bombs, the US has a moral responsibility to rebuild and prevent future destruction of life and property there.
Israel has displaced roughly 1.7 million Palestinians and killed more than 37,000.
