Justice For All celebrates Naledi Pandor’s new role as chairperson of Nelson Mandela Foundation
American Muslim human rights organization Justice For All has congratulated former South African minister Dr. Naledi Pandor on her appointment as the new Chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
This significant transition follows the retirement of Professor Njabulo Ndebele.
Dr. Pandor is set to officially assume her role on October 1, 2024.
She is the third chairperson since the foundation’s inception in 1999.
On September 14, 2024, Justice For All honored Dr. Pandor with the prestigious Justice For All Award during a ceremony in Chicago, where nearly 700 attendees were moved by her powerful acceptance speech.
She emphasized the necessity of crafting and preparing for struggles, particularly highlighting her steadfast support for Palestinian liberation.
Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid, President of Justice For All, expressed confidence in Dr. Pandor’s ability to provide transformative leadership.
He noted her extensive advocacy for marginalized communities over her distinguished career.
Justice For All says that as a former Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr. Pandor’s legacy aligns seamlessly with the foundation’s mission to promote social justice and equality.
