Jewish Voice for Peace calls Israel a rouge state, condemns Rafah attack
Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) has labeled Israel a “rogue state” following a brutal military strike in Rafah.
On May 26, Israeli forces bombed tent camps in a humanitarian zone, burning alive at least 45 Palestinians and wounding hundreds more.
The attack has drawn global condemnation, with harrowing images of the aftermath.
US officials have requested an internal investigation by Israel, while maintaining what it has called since October, Israel’s right to self-defense.
JVP has urged the US to impose an arms embargo on Israel and called for an end to what it describes as systematic abuses and genocide.
The Jewish organization also criticized the Biden administration for its response to the killings.
Israeli government officials claim they were targeting Hamas officials and described the attack as collateral damage.
JVP has rejected Israel’s justification for its attack, and says it is part of a broader pattern of violence in Gaza.
