Jewish Activist Attacked By Israeli Settlers In West Bank While Helping Palestinians Plant Olive Trees
A Jewish activist supporting Palestinian farmers in Burin, a village in the occupied West Bank, was injured in an attack by a group of Israeli settlers.
Doron Maynrat, a 60-year-old Jewish peace activist and a member of the “Olive Harvest Coalition” civil movement, said support for the Palestinians comes at a price.
A group of masked Israeli settlers beat him and other Jewish peace activists who supported Palestinian farmers planting olive trees in Burin on Jan. 21.
Maynrat was wounded in the head and arm in the attack.
He told Anadolu Agency Video News about 20 people ran toward the activists with sticks and benzene.
Prominent Jewish-American groups urged Israel on Tuesday to rein in “ongoing terrorism and political violence” committed by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank.
