Jeffries, CBC slam Trump over DEI attack
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Congressional Black Caucus chair Yvette Clarke have slammed President Donald Trump’s latest attack on diversity programs.
Trump blamed DEI initiatives for a fatal plane crash near Washington on Wednesday, linking the accident to hiring policies under the Biden and Obama administrations.
CBC calls Trump’s remarks “disgusting” and “racist.”
It accuses him of using a tragedy for political gain.
Trump recently moved to dismantle DEI programs across the federal government, including aviation.
His plan to freeze federal grants has been temporarily halted.
