Jan. 6 Committee Releases Threat-Filled Video Of Man Who Got Capitol Tour From GOP Lawmaker
The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack flagged the suspicious behavior of people who toured the Capitol the day before the insurrection.
Committee Chair Bennie Thompson, a Missisippi Democrat, wrote a letter to Rep. Barry Loudermilk, including photographs.
They showed people on the tour appearing to be doing reconnaissance of the Capitol.
Tour participants photographed and recorded areas of the complex typically not of interest to tourists, “including hallways, staircases, and security checkpoints.”
They were also present at Trump’s rally on the National Mall preceding it.
One man on the tour was filmed holding a flagpole with a sharpened end reading, “It’s for a certain person.”
