Israeli-US prisoner blames Trump and Netanyahu for Gaza ordeal
Israeli-American prisoner Edan Alexander, who is being held in Gaza, has accused President Donald Trump of believing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s lies.
He blamed Trump and Netanyahu for blocking his release from Gaza.
In a video issued by Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades, Alexander said he is “collapsing physically and mentally” as Netanyahu “runs the country like a dictator.”
Alexander said all sides lied about efforts to free him — including Israel, the U.S., and the army.
He revealed that Hamas was ready to release him weeks ago, but the U.S. refused.
Directly addressing Trump, Alexander asked: “Why did you fall for Netanyahu’s lies? Why am I still suffering here and not home in America?”
Fearing Israeli airstrikes, he warned: “You may never see me alive again.”
Alexander also urged Israelis to continue protesting against Netanyahu’s government.
He echoed freed hostage Yair Horn’s warning, saying “Our time is running out.”
Alexander ended with a chilling message saying prisoners believe they will return home as corpses.
Families of the prisoners also called for more protests, accusing the Netanyahu government of using prisoners as political pawns.
Israel estimates that 59 prisoners are still in Gaza.
