Israeli strikes kill hundreds of Palestinians amid humanitarian collapse
Israeli airstrikes have killed nearly 490 Palestinians in the first nine days of 2025, plunging Gaza into a deepening humanitarian crisis.
In Khan Yunis, one Palestinian was killed, and two others were wounded in an Israeli drone strike on Friday targeting civilians.
Three people, including a child were killed on Thursday evening when Israeli forces targeted a school in Jabalia.
The school had been sheltering thousands of displaced families, and 25 others were injured in the attack.
Meanwhile, hospitals across Gaza are struggling to cope with severe fuel shortages, putting patients and newborns at grave risk as generators run dry.
A scathing UN report reveals that aid workers face deadly risks, with 369 killed since October 2023, including 263 from the UN refugee agency or UNRWA.
Israeli restrictions have blocked most humanitarian efforts, with critical supplies and aid deliveries repeatedly denied entry.
Out of 220,000 cold weather clothing kits needed for Gaza’s population, only 19,000 have been distributed.
Israeli authorities blocked 149 of 165 UN attempts to deliver aid to northern Gaza, an area under a crippling military siege for over three months.
Sixteen other attempts were obstructed by the Israeli military.
