Israeli delegation in Khartoum for security coordination
KHARTOUM, Sudan (AA) – A delegation of Israeli security officials has arrived in Sudan’s capital Khartoum, a Sudanese NGO confirmed on Thursday.
The delegation arrived on a private Israeli aircraft, Hussein Qamar, head of the Sudanese-Israeli Friendship Society, told Anadolu.
The visit is part of ongoing security coordination and exchange of information between Israel and Sudan, he added.
The names and designations of the Israeli security officials were not disclosed.
According to Israeli public broadcaster KAN, Sudan is moving toward signing a normalization deal with Israel.
Sudan agreed to establish ties with Israel during the tenure of former US President Donald Trump.
In return, the US promised to remove Sudan from its list of state sponsors of terrorism.
