Israeli minister calls for destroying Hezbollah
Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has issued a call to destroy the Lebanese group Hezbollah.
He said this as he visited the Kiryat Shmona illegal Israeli settlement following a Hezbollah rocket attack that sparked fires in several areas in northern Israel.
Israeli firefighting teams on Tuesday continued to battle fires that broke out as a result of rockets fired from southern Lebanon.
According to the Israeli military, seven reserve soldiers and nine civilians were injured slightly due to smoke inhalation.
Tension has flared along the border between Lebanon and Israel amid intermittent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.
They are the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.
