Israeli forces kill 3 Palestinians in Nablus
NABLUS CITY, Palestine (AA) – Three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli raid in the West Bank city of Nablus on Tuesday, according to the Health Ministry.
A ministry statement said 40 other people were injured in the raid, including four in critical condition.
The Israeli army said Ibrahim al-Nabulsi, a member of the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah group, was killed in the raid.
A military statement claimed Israeli soldiers surrounded the home of al-Nabulsi, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
Israeli forces used shoulder-launched missiles against the building in which al-Nabulsi was hiding, the army said.
No injuries were reported among Israeli soldiers.
Meanwhile, clashes were reported between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh during protests against the killings.
“I salute the security services for this operation, since they carried out a focused operation with great success and without any casualties among their ranks,” Prime Minister Yair Lapid said in a statement.
The Israeli army accuses al-Nabulsi of carrying out attacks against its forces in Nablus.
The deaths came two days after an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire ended three days of Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, in which 45 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured.
