Israeli army kills Palestinian youth in West Bank
RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli army has killed a Palestinian youth in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The ministry said Taher Mohammad Zakarneh, 19, was fatally shot by the Israeli forces in Qabatia town, south of Jenin city.
Another Palestinian was injured by Israeli firing and is under treatment at the Ibn e Sina Hospital.
Israeli forces raided several areas across the occupied West Bank including the Jenin governorate. As Palestinians protested and showed resistance, they were fired at by Israeli forces, using live bullets in Qabatia town.
The Israeli forces have started carrying out arrest raids on a daily basis in Palestinian areas under the pretext of searching for wanted Palestinians, often without charge and without warrant, under the controversial ‘administrative detention’ policy.
