Israeli army detains 90 Palestinians across West Bank
RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli army has detained at least 90 Palestinians from different areas across the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, a nongovernmental organization said.
In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said the new arrests, including a Palestinian woman, brought the total number of Palestinians detained by the Israeli forces since October 7 to nearly 2,400.
Before Israel’s ongoing war against Palestine began, the number of Palestinians detained in Israeli jails was around 5,200, including more than 1,000 held under the notorious administrative detention policy with no charge or trial.
The NGO accused the Israeli army of executing 17-year-old minor Mohammad Azba following his arrest.
Tensions have been high across the West Bank since the beginning of the Israeli onslaught on Gaza on October 7.
At least 183 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 7 and more than 2,200 others injured, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
