Israeli army detains 25 more Palestinians in West Bank
RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli army on Monday rounded up 25 more Palestinians in the occupied West Bank under its arbitrary arrest and detention policies, according to prisoners’ affairs groups.
The detentions took place in several areas in the occupied territory, including Jenin, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Nablus, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Hebron and Jericho, the Commission of Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a joint statement.
According to the statement, at least 6,195 Palestinians have been detained by the Israeli army under its illegal administrative detention policy in the West Bank since October 7.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip on October 7. At least 25,295 people — mostly women and children- have been killed in the onslaught, and most of the territory has been reduced to rubble.
