Israeli airstrike wipes out entire family in southern Lebanon
BEIRUT (AA) – Four members of a family were killed in an Israeli strike on their home in southern Lebanon, local media reported.
The state news agency NNA said a father, wife and their two sons lost their lives in the attack that targeted the town of Jarjouaa.
The family’s house was levelled in the attack.
The new attack came a day after at least 23 people were killed in Israeli strikes in the border town of Aitaroun on Monday.
Israel has mounted a huge air campaign across Lebanon against what it alleges are ‘Hezbollah targets’ since September 23, killing at least 1,542 people, injuring over 4,555 others, and displacing more than 1.34 million people.
Despite international warnings that the Mideast was on the brink of a regional war amid Israel’s relentless attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, it expanded the war on Oct. 1 by launching a brutal ground offensive into southern Lebanon.
