Israel says 3 more soldiers killed in Gaza
JERUSALEM (AA) – Three more Israeli soldiers have been killed in fighting in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has announced.
A military statement said the soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade’s 202nd Battalion were killed in combat while fighting in the southern Gaza Strip.
Another soldier from the same battalion was seriously injured, the army said.
Figures released by the army showed that 535 soldiers have been killed and 2,673 others injured since the outbreak of Israel’s war on Gaza on October 7.
The army said that 19 soldiers had been injured in fighting in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.
Israel launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, as a result of which at least 25,295 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children. 63,000 have been injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
The Israeli onslaught has left 85% of Gaza’s population internally displaced amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure was damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.
