Israel kills 24 Palestinians, injures 71 in Gaza on 4th day of Eid al-Adha
The Israeli military killed 24 Palestinians and injured 71 others on the fourth day of Eid al-Adha in Gaza, according to the local health ministry.
On the fourth day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, Israeli airstrikes targeted the Al-Mawasi “safe zone” in southern Gaza, killing seven people sheltering in tents.
Eyewitnesses reported children were asleep when the attack occurred, setting parts of the camp ablaze.
Israeli forces also bombed dozens of houses in the Saudi neighborhood west of Rafah and continued shelling the Tel al Sultan neighborhood.
In central Gaza, artillery and warplanes targeted areas near the Nuseirat refugee camp, causing multiple casualties.
Israeli drones also launched attacks on civilians’ homes northwest of Nuseirat.
An Anadolu correspondent in Gaza City reports that artillery strikes in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood caused significant damage, with some homes catching fire.
Meanwhile, Palestinian officials demanded the release of 310 health workers they claim have been subjected to torture by Israeli forces.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces arrested 35 Palestinians, bringing the total number of arrests during the Eid al-Adha holiday to 90.
Since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza on Oct. 7, at least 37,396 Palestinians have been killed and 85,523 injured.
The International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to halt its attacks in Rafah.
