Israel ‘jeopardises its future’ if it loses ‘war of communication’, says Sarkozy

If Israel loses the war of communication, it is seriously jeopardising its future, said former French president Nicolas Sarkozy at a conference in Rabat on Wednesday.
“I’m trying to be honest in what I say. . . . Israel will win every military war. But if it loses the war of communication, it is seriously jeopardising its future. Mr Netanyahu and I had a lot of disagreements about this.
“There have been Israeli prime ministers who wanted to move towards peace, with two states. One of them even paid with his life. I would remind you that it was not an Arab who killed him, but a Jew. So extremism can be on both sides,” said the former president, who was at the conference to promote his new book “Le temps des combats”.
