Israel drops leaflets greeting Palestinians on Ramadan

Israel’s air drop of Ramadan leaflets over Gaza has sparked outrage, and is being called “psychological torture” by Palestinians.
The move, amid widespread starvation, ironically urges citizens to feed the needy.
The leaflets coincide with Israel’s blockade, which is worsening food and water shortages.
Critics highlight Israel’s culpability in Gaza’s crisis, condemning the leaflets as insensitive.
With Ramadan starting Monday, Gaza’s two million Palestinians, many displaced, face heightened uncertainty.
U.N. agencies warn of an impending famine, with more than 500,000 at risk and acute food shortages affecting the entire population.
There have been more than 20 deaths due to dehydration and malnutrition since Israel began its war in October.
