Israel downs drone near Lebanese border
JERUSALEM (AA) – The Israeli army claimed Tuesday it had downed a suspected Hezbollah drone near the border with Lebanon.
A military statement said the drone was monitored and downed as it was crossing from Lebanon into Israel.
“We will continue to prevent any attempts to violate Israeli sovereignty,” it added.
There was no comment from Lebanese group Hezbollah on the Israeli statement.
The Israeli army in past months has announced downing drones near the border with Lebanon many times.
