Israel charges 3 Palestinians with plot to kill Ben-Gvir
JERUSALEM (AA) – Israeli authorities have charged three Palestinians with plotting to kill National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israeli media reported.
The Israeli public broadcaster said an indictment was filed against the three, from the West Bank city of Hebron, for allegedly planning to kill Ben-Gvir and his son.
Ben-Gvir, leader of the far-right Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) Party, is an illegal Jewish settler in Hebron and oversees the Israeli police force.
Ben-Gvir, known for his aggressive, hardline position against Palestinians, is a controversial figure and one of the leading proponents of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.
Israel launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip last year and has killed nearly 44,000 people, most of them women and children.
International recognition of the genocide in Gaza has grown in the second year of the deadly Israeli war, as organizations and leaders have labeled the events as a deliberate attempt to destroy a population.
Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its deadly war on Gaza.
