Israel attack kills two Sanaa airport employees, injures UN plane crew member
Israeli airstrikes on Sanaa International Airport killed two employees and injured a U.N. plane crew member, the Houthi group said.
The plane was transporting WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who confirmed being near the bombed airport facilities.
The strikes also targeted Al-Hudaydah port, marking an intensification of Israeli operations.
Israeli officials suggested this could signal the beginning of a larger campaign against the Houthis.
Israel is in discussions with the U.S. about a possible major offensive.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Houthis of severe consequences, as the group continues to attack Israeli targets in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
The strikes, involving Israel, the U.S., and the U.K., have heightened fears of a broader regional war.
