Israel arrests 60 more Palestinians in West Bank, tally nears 6,100 since Oct. 7
RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Israeli army rounded up 60 more Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, according to prisoners’ affairs groups.
The arrests took place in several areas in the occupied territory, including Hebron, Bethlehem, Tulkarm, Nablus and Jerusalem, the Commission of Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society said in a joint statement.
According to the statement, at least 6,090 Palestinians have been detained by the Israeli army in the West Bank since Oct. 7.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since Israel launched a deadly military offensive against the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack on Oct 7.
At least 360 Palestinians have since been killed and nearly 4,000 others injured in the occupied territory, according to figures released by the Health Ministry.
