ISIS Confirms its Leader Killed in Syria
ANKARA (AA) – The ISIS on Thursday confirmed that its leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi was killed in Syria and named his successor.
In an audio message, posted on Telegram channels linked to the terror group, Abu al-Hassan al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi has been named the new leader of the terrorist group.
On Feb. 3, US President Joe Biden announced that the American forces killed Abu Ibrahim in Syria.
He was named the leader of Daesh/ISIS in 2019 after the US killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi earlier that year.
