Iran to host second edition of ‘Fragments of a Mirror’ film-art exhibition
Over 20 Iranian cinema professionals to showcase visual artworks at Sarvenaz Gallery
SHIRAZ, Iran (MNTV) — The Sarvenaz Gallery in Shiraz will open its doors on April 24 for the second edition of the group exhibition Fragments of a Mirror, presenting visual artworks by more than 20 prominent figures from Iran’s film industry.
Following a successful debut last December at the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) in Tehran, the exhibition once again bridges cinema and visual art, featuring works by directors, actors, cinematographers, and other film professionals.
Among the contributors to the first edition were celebrated filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami, directors Tahmineh Milani and Masoud Kimiai, and actors such as Niki Karimi, Reza Kianian, and Farhad Aeesh.
Curator Mahta Mohaddes noted that this edition includes contributions from several new participants, including first-time exhibitors.
“All the artists whose works are on display are well-known,” she said. “Reviewing their artworks together presents a new meaning and a fresh perspective on another dimension of Iranian cinema.”
The exhibition’s visual identity has been designed by renowned graphic artist Ebrahim Haghighi, whose painting will also be featured among the artworks.
Fragments of a Mirror will be open to the public at the Sarvenaz Gallery in Shiraz from April 24 to April 29. The opening will be attended by participating artists.
