International Court Of Justice Begins Hearing “Genocide Allegations’ Against Russia
The U.N.’s International Court of Justice’s hearing on “allegations of genocide” against Russia, has begun in The Hague, the agency said Monday.
The charge was brought on behalf of Ukraine against the Russian Federation under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
Russia boycotted the hearing Monday during which Kyiv sought an emergency order to halt hostilities, arguing Moscow falsely justified its war on Ukraine.
The hearing is scheduled to continue today.
