Intel suspends operations in Russia
ISTANBUL- Intel has announced the suspension of its business operations in Russia joining a growing number of Western firms to exit the country over its war on Ukraine.
In a statement, the US chipmaker said it already halted its sales and deliveries in Russia and Belarus in early March.
“Intel continues to join the global community in condemning Russia’s war against Ukraine and calling for a swift return to peace,” the statement added.
The firm also said that it is trying to support its all employees including 1,200 staff in Russia and focusing to minimize disruption to its world operations.
Since the beginning of the Russian war on Ukraine on February 24, countries, especially the US and EU members, and companies from different sectors have been suspending their operations, relations and investments in Russia.
