Imran Khan Says He Was Aware Of Assassination Attempt Beforehand
Addressing Pakistanis from the hospital, Imran Khan said he knew of a planned assassination attempt a day before it happened.
Khan accused U.S. diplomat Donald Lu for threatening the Pakistani ambassador that the country will face difficulties if the former premier is not removed.
Protesters across Pakistan burned tires and blocked traffic following the assassination attempt on Khan.
One person was killed and 14 others injured, including Khan, in an assissination attemp in Wazirabad.
Khan began his long march from Lahore to Islamabad on Oct. 28 demanding early elections.
His government was removed through a no-confidence vote in parliament in April.
