Houthis Attack Aramco Oil facility in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah: Arab Coalition
RIYADH – The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen has said that an Aramco oil facility in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah was attacked by Houthis.
A coalition statement said that Saudi Aramco’s Bulk Plant in Jeddah was targeted with an “act of aggression” by Iran-backed Houthi militia.
The statement added that following the attack, a fire erupted in tanks in the oil facility. However, it was controlled, and no casualties were reported.
Yemen has been engulfed by violence and instability since 2014, when Iran-aligned Houthis captured much of the country, including the capital Sanaa.
According to the UN, the conflict has created one of the world’s worst man-made humanitarian crises.
