Hezbollah says Israeli soldiers killed, injured in bomb explosion near Lebanese-Israeli border
BEIRUT (AA) – Lebanese group Hezbollah said Monday several Israeli soldiers were killed and injured in a bomb explosion in southern Lebanon.
The group said that its fighters had detonated several explosive devices at an Israeli force in Tal Ismail area near Lebanon’s border with Israel, leaving several soldiers killed and injured.
There was no immediate comment from Israel.
The attack followed an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in Seddiqine town in southern Lebanon, which injured at least nine people
The Israeli army said the strike targeted Hezbollah rocket launchers and hostile infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah and Israeli forces have exchanged cross-border attacks since last October amid growing tensions over Tel Aviv’s deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 33,800 people.
