Greece can be energy gateway between Qatar, Europe: Prime minister
ANKARA (AA) – Greece can be the energy gateway between Europe and Qatar, one of the world’s largest LNG suppliers, said the country’s prime minister on Monday.
Greece, both through the Revythoussa LNG terminal, located west of the capital Athens, and northern port city of Alexandroupolis, can be a bridge between Qatar and Europe, Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Twitter.
Mitsotakis also noted that during his meeting with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, “deepening of relations” in the fields of energy, tourism, infrastructure, agriculture, culture, sports and sciences were discussed.
Al-Thani said on Twitter that apart from ways to improve bilateral relations, international and regional developments were also discussed during the meeting.
