‘Great Palestine Meeting’: Thousands attend solidarity rally in Istanbul
ISTANBUL (AA) – Thousands of people in Istanbul joined the “Great Palestine Meeting,” a rally in support of Palestinians’ freedom in Istanbul.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan invited the nation to attend the rally to show “brotherhood between Turks and Palestinians to the world.”
People from different walks of life, carrying Turkish and Palestinian flags, gathered at the Ataturk Airport. Some of the attendants also wore headbands with the inscriptions, “We are all Palestinians,” “End the genocide, let the children live” and “Be the voice of Palestinian children.”
LED screens were set up across the venue.
