Global female artists unite for Art Connects Women 2025 in Dubai
DUBAI (MNTV) – A powerful display of artistic diversity and cultural unity is set to unfold in Dubai as Art Connects Women 2025 brings together 112 female artists from 112 countries.
The international exhibition opens on April 8 at DIFC Gate Village, marking one of the region’s most ambitious showcases of women’s artistic expression, reported Khaleej Times.
Held under the patronage of UNESCO, the four-day event is centered on the theme ‘Leave a Legacy’, celebrating the vital role of women in the global arts and cultural landscape.
The exhibition will be open to the public from April 9 to 11, transforming the DIFC Gate Village into an open-air gallery featuring painting, sculpture, and mixed media works.
Beyond the visual showcase, the program includes a curated cultural tour of Abu Dhabi on April 9 for participating artists.
Organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism, the tour includes visits to key landmarks such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Public Art Biennale, and the Abrahamic Family House.
The day concludes with a concert organized by Alliance Française Dubai, celebrating women’s creativity through music.
On April 10, during DIFC Art Night, the spotlight will turn to broader issues at the intersection of creativity and social progress.
A conference titled ‘From Finance to Sustainable Impact’ will feature panel discussions on women’s roles in the creative economy, covering themes such as financial literacy, sustainable investment, and the use of art to drive social change.
The event will conclude on April 11 with an award ceremony at the One&Only Royal Mirage, honoring the contributions of the participating artists.
Organized by ZeeArts Gallery in partnership with DIFC, the eighth edition of Art Connects Women has gained formal recognition as a social impact initiative by Majra UAE.
Founder Zaahirah Muthy described this year’s edition as a “transformative moment” for the platform, which continues to align with international Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.
