Free Palestine protesters call Blinken ‘Butcher of Gaza’ at Senate
Free Palestine demonstrators repeatedly interrupted Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s Senate testimony yesterday.
They called him the “butcher of Gaza” and said he is responsible for the deaths of innocent Palestinians.
Capitol police removed protesters as they shouted accusations of war crimes and called for an end to U.S. support for Israel’s war on Gaza.
Demonstrators labeled the invasion as “sick” and “deranged,” halting Blinken’s testimony multiple times.
The protests highlight ongoing anger over U.S. backing for Israel’s prolonged war on Gaza, which has killed over 35,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and led to widespread destruction and displacement.
Israel has been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice.
