Food Fest Uzbekistan 2025 held in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (MNTV) — A grand opening ceremony for Food Fest Uzbekistan 2025 was held in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, marking a significant step in strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries, Uza.uz reports.
Organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Agency of Plant Protection and Quarantine, the exhibition is taking place at Islamabad’s Centaurus Mall.
The event drew high-level participation, including officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce, representatives from the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Chakwal, along with ambassadors and diplomats from over 30 countries, including Russia, Türkiye, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Indonesia.
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtayev, opened the event by highlighting the outcomes of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Uzbekistan in February.
He emphasized that Food Fest Uzbekistan 2025 is the first initiative under a new series of joint activities following Sharif’s discussions with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
“The exhibition of Uzbekistan food products is the first event organized in a new format following the recent high-level visit. Our action plan for 2025-2026 includes a series of events aimed at increasing mutual awareness of our national economies, which complement each other,” Tukhtayev said.
The exhibition featured products from 25 leading Uzbek food manufacturers. According to organizers, over 60,000 visitors attended on the first day.
The event included meetings between Uzbek entrepreneurs and Pakistani officials and business leaders, and executives from retail chains like Islamabad Cash & Carry, Metro, and Punjab Cash & Carry.
