Five Muslim Worshippers Injured In Drive-By Shooting In Canada
Five Muslim men were injured when someone opened fire on the group, which had just finished midnight prayers in the suburb of Scarborough, police said.
The men range in age from 28 to 35 years old.
Acting staff Supt. David Rydzik RIJIK said the men, who were observing nightly prayers for Ramadan, gathered around 1 a.m. in a parking lot to discuss where to eat.
Rydzik said the men were struck by the bullets from perhaps a vehicle traveling on Markham Road.
All five men suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.
