Reports by SBS Australia highlight that businesses are tapping into the growing needs of the country’s Muslim population, with the holy month set to begin shortly and run until the end of March.
Sayo Bakri, a shop owner in Sydney, noted the rising popularity. “Every year, demand grows. This year, we’ve stocked more because people want to decorate their homes beautifully.”
Large retailers are also getting involved.
Nestlé has released Ramadan-themed Kit-Kat chocolates, while supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths have expanded their Ramadan offerings.
Customer Kai Sari expressed satisfaction with the variety. “Now we have so many options, from dates to special dining sets. It’s exciting to see Ramadan items everywhere.”
