Fargo’s Islamic Cemetery Target Of Vandalism Spree
Community leaders say Fargo, North Dakota’s Islamic Cemetery has been the target of a vandalism spree.
Last Friday, an employee at the cemetery entered the building housing concrete vaults used in burials.
Heidi Soliman, a spokesperson with the Islamic Society of The Islamic Society of Fargo, said the employee found all the vaults had been destroyed.
The building stored five such vaults, all of which have been smashed open.
Concrete debris was scattered on the floor of the storage facility.
The damage is estimated at more than $5,000.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the active investigation into the vandalism.
