Entering Mosque While Infected Is A Sin: Islamic Scholar
Prominent Islamic scholar Khaled Abu Moza has said entering mosques when infected with COVID-19 is a sin.
He stressed the need to adhere to the necessary procedures when entering the mosque to limit the spread of the virus.
Speaking to Qatar TV, the preacher and Islamic educational lecturer urged those who are ill to pray at home for the safety of others “as whoever enters the mosque while infected is considered a sinner.”
Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has put several precautionary measures in place for mosque-goers to ensure the safety of worshippers.
