Employers reluctant to hire students supporting Palestine cause
A recent survey by Seattle-based online magazine Intelligent.com indicates growing employer concerns about hiring recent college graduates who participated in peaceful Free Palestine protests.
Findings reveal that nearly a third of employers hesitate to hire graduates who engaged in such demonstrations in the past six months.
They are citing potential workplace confrontations and discomfort among coworkers.
They perceive protest involvement as a liability.
But not all employers feel the same way.
Some 21% of business leaders surveyed are keen to hire graduates who have attended protests.
They say they value outspokenness and dedication to causes.
Notably, 31% of employers inquired about protest participation during interviews.
