Former President Donald Trump’s legal team saw U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as their “best shot” to prevent congressional certification of the 2020 election results.

That’s according to email conversations published Wednesday by Politico.

A federal judge recently ordered former Trump lawyer John Eastman to share emails with the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack. 

Eastman is considered the architect of the plot to overturn the election victory of President Joe Biden.
