Egypt to Attend 6-Party Summit in Israel
JERUSALEM (AA) – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to participate in a six-party summit in Israel, Israeli media reported on Saturday.
The KAN news channel said Shoukry, who will arrive in Israel on Sunday, will join his counterparts from the US, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco, and Israel in the summit.
There was no comment from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on the report.
KAN said efforts are also being made to have Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi attend the summit.
On Friday, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said Israel will host a two-day meeting with the top diplomats of the US, UAE, Bahrain and Morocco from Sunday.
The summit is expected to discuss the revival of the Iran nuclear deal and the Russian war on Ukraine.
