Egypt advances National Human Development Strategy Under Vision 2030
CAIRO, Egypt (MNTV) – Egypt has taken significant steps to accelerate its national human development strategy as part of its Vision 2030.
For the purpose, a specialized committee, under the deputy PM Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, has been formed to discuss the development of the projects and enhance the lives of the people, reported Daily News Egypt.
The third meeting of the Committee for Human Development, chaired by Deputy prime minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, brought together key officials, including minister of education Mohamed Abdel Latif, presidential advisor for Economic Development Hala El-Said, and Magued Osman, chairman of the Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera).
The committee reviewed progress on Egypt’s human development initiatives. The Early Childhood Development initiative is aimed at expanding nursery and kindergarten programs to enhance skill-building and creativity. The Health and Nutrition initiative strengthens measures to combat malnutrition and reduce stunting rates. The Education Reform project seeks to improve pre-university education by providing students a better learning environment, training teachers, and updating curricula in line with global standards.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, stressed the necessity of linking health and education policies to foster a healthier, more educated future generation.
Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel Latif highlighted ongoing efforts to boost literacy and reading skills among primary students while enhancing school nutrition programs to support both physical and cognitive development.
The committee agreed on the need for continued inter-ministerial coordination to ensure effective implementation of proposed policies, with clear timelines to track progress.
These measures align with Egypt’s broader commitment to sustainable development under Vision 2030, reinforcing the nation’s long-term economic and social growth strategy.
