College Muslim Space In Vermont Vandalized
On April 9, an unknown person poured urine outside the Muslim Students Association’s prayer space at Middlebury College, Vermont.
Two MSA members were inside the prayer room when the vandalism occurred during the early morning hours.
The culprit or culprits attempted to forcefully enter the prayer space, according to an email sent to MSA members.
Students remained safely inside during the attack, which came as the Muslim community is observing Ramadan.
College officials believe the timing of the attack indicates it was a targeted act of discrimination and bias.
The college’s public safety department is investigating the incident.
