CIA Tortured Muslim Detainee To Train Other Interrogators
The CIA used a “black site” detainee as a training prop to teach interrogators torture techniques, a newly declassified U.S. government report revealed.
Ammar Al-Baluchi, a CIA detainee in Afghanistan, was slammed against a plywood wall repeatedly by trainees so they could get certified, according to the report.
Al-Baluchi’s head was injured as a result of the repeated abuse leaving him with brain damage.
The report contains several documents dating back to 2008, revealing details of torture faced by the 44-year-old Kuwaiti citizen.
It was declassified on March 10 as part of a court filing by Al-Baluchi’s lawyers seeking to get him an independent medical examination.
